Wade and O.J. Mayo "Good Friends"

Now here's something that can put a wrench in the Beasley-to-Miami talk. I'm not sure what Mayo and Wade have been talking about, but apparently they've been working out together and they really like each other.

This is not something to take lightly. It's no secret that Riley covets Mayo...could Wade be quietly campaigning for his new buddy?

I still maintain that Beasley is the far better selection, but a strong Wade-Mayo chemistry could make a Mayo selection a little easier to stomach.

We'll have updates on the latest rumors throughout the day.

I won't be happy with a Mayo selection unless we are able to secure some other significant young asset by trade to go along with him.

The end feeling for me, after much internal struggle, is that Beasley has MASSIVE upside, while Mayo has just good upside. I could see Beasley AVERAGING high double figures for at least several years in the League. Can the Heat, or any other team for that matter, afford to pass that up?

I'm with you. I want Beasley or Mayo with a trade-down. Not just Mayo.

I'm with you guys. Taking Mayo at 2 while Beasley still sits there would be ridiculous.

Why is Riley so infatuated with this guy??? It would fine if we were picking 3-5. By all means, knock yourself out. But with Beasley there, it's just asinine.

5 hours til the Heat botch this....

I will only be happy with the selection if he immediately teams with DWade and leads Miami to a reHeat championship. Otherwise Riley should be fired and stripped of his hair care products.
