I recommend that everyone check out that phenomenal play by Willingham in the 9th inning keeping the ball hit by Nick Johnson in the park. It's that kind of effort that will keep the Marlins competitive in their division, even if this early over-achievement does not last.
That kind of effort builds chemistry, and chemistry leads to championships. A hungry team is as much of an asset as a large payroll, as long as the talent is there. Apparently, at least for the Marlins, the heart of the team did not leave with the traded high-priced players.

It's interesting how that play went from a should-catch to a game saver. But then I saw the replay, and you're dead on. He saved the homer. Who cares if he could have caught it.
