Vindication!

Trevor Immelman is your Masters champion. As first reported here (just ignore the final scores), your final standings are: 1st place: Trevor Immelman. 2nd place: Tiger Woods. 3rd place: Brandt Snedeker. See? I really do follow golf, I just don't make it up...

On a blustery day in Augusta, only Immelman could keep his cool. Tiger never got his putter going, and other players behind him on the leaderboard failed to make a charge. Trevor simply played golf. The 75 he shot on Sunday won't wow anybody, but no one else came close. Only a handful of players were able to shoot a sub-par final round. He took a 5 shot lead to the 16th hole and ended the tournament with a routine, 2 putt par on 18 for a 3 shot win. Congrats to the 2008 Masters champion!

It's always nice to see a surprise winner bask in the glow of victory. It never gets old. Congratulations Immelman!
