Heat D-League Hero Watch: 1st Edition

Last night starts a new - albeit brief - series of Miami Heat basketball fandom. I'll be chronicling the results of a D-League hero after each Miami Heat game. 6 games remain, which should be more than enough time for these one-and-out NBA stars to impress.

In last night's close 109-95 loss to the Wizards, the award goes to ... (drumroll) ... Alexander Johnson! The standout Seminole went for an efficient 9 points in just 15:46 of play. Of particular note were his 8 trips to the FT line (of which he made 5). He was also the only Heat player not to carry a negative +/-. Kudos to Alexander Johnson!

Wow Adam, I had no idea your love of the Heat went so far... D-League stats and players to watch? I'm impressed and disappointed all at once... but I gotta love it.

Karl,

Believe it or not, this isn't the D-League! These D-League players are playing real games in the NBA. The Heat are so decimated that they have to have these guys on the NBA squad.

Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate them.
