The media blows up over blowups.

I'm gonna get a little controversial here, and it doesn't have anything to do with Florida sports at all, but hey, I gotta put it somewhere.

So, by now, I'm assuming that everyone has heard about the Chicago White Sox little prank. Media outlets are going as far as calling it a "ritual" and a "shrine" as if the guys were praying to it or something. Quite drama-mongering word choice, you think?

In case you haven't heard about it, catch the ESPN story here.

Everyone talks about this being "sexist" and "immature."

But has anyone thought of the dolls? My god, this is a crime against plastic dolls everywhere!!!!

They only want to be bought by lonely men, yet all of sudden they're subjected to such horrors as this, what an outrage!!! There's no telling where those bats have been!!!

Puh-leeze.

Lord knows that few places in the world have a more dense gathering of testosterone than a men's locker room, and we all know that jokes like this probably happen all the time (if you haven't been in locker rooms before, trust me, they happen - everyday).

Besides, is it actually any more "derogatory" towards women then the existence of blowup dolls in the first place?

When is this country going to grow up and get over itself. Really?
