The 39-5, #1-ranked Miami Hurricanes baseball team completed a sweep of the St. Mary's Gaels in Coral Gables this weekend with a 15-3 victory on Sunday. The MVP of the game was Dennis Raben, who was 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBI's.
The Canes have matchups with North Florida, Virginia Tech, and UNC before the ACC and NCAA tournaments commence. When asked what his team needs to improve on in these next few games, Jim Morris smiled and could not name a single thing. He said that his Canes have "played as good as any team I've had since I've been here," and it is hard to disagree. The starting pitching and the relief pitching have been solid, and their bats have been there all season. For example, Sunday's game marked the 20th time this season that the Canes have scored in double figures.
