Alexander Johnson and Blake Ahearn have already achieved D-League Hero greatness, but they'll be taking a back seat to this edition's champion. Today's winner can boast something that neither of the other two could; he led his team to victory. Come to think of it, even the star players haven't been able to make that claim.
The Heat shocked the Bulls 95-88, and KASIB POWELL was the main reason! He dominated the game with 18 points on 8-16 shooting, adding 6 rebounds and 3 assists. The team was also a +18 with him on the floor, which proves just how much this NBA-hopeful contributed.
Powell's performance was so impressive that he may no longer hold the epithet "D-League Hero." He just might be a real NBA player. Congratulations Kasib!
