Steve Bartman Exonerated!

It's been five years since Steve Bartman "interfered" with Luis Castillo's foul ball in Game 6 of the NLCS, and only now does he get full vindication. Moises Alou told reporters today that he wouldn't have caught the ball, an opinion I've felt the entire time. If the Cubs self-destructed because of that, it was their own doing. As Jeff Garlin of Curb Your Enthusiasm says (a diehard Cubs fan), "Steve Bartman had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. NOTHING."

While I'm inclined to criticize Alou for waiting so long (what is this, Deep Throat?), you have to commend him for, at long last, spilling the beans. I hope Steve Bartman can rest easy now. The guy did NOTHING WRONG.
